For what seems like eternity people have searched high and low reading all kinds of articles regarding weight loss tips and suggestions.
We all know we have to eat right, but what does that mean.
Eating right is often referred to eating lots of fruits, vegetables, whole grains and reducing items such as white bread, white pasta, white rice, anything white. It also suggests you rid yourself of processed foods, and really cutting back on sugars.
Eating lots of greens are a sure way to help, like plenty of salads. Not only do salads help us to lose weight, but they are good for the digestive system. Salads are full of water which our body needs. The only way you might go wrong with salads are in the way you dress them. Be sure to go easy on the salad dressing using only healthy choices.
Besides eating right we also need to cut back on the amount of food we eat watching calories and eating smaller meals more often will help in the weight loss battle. Lots of water intake is also crucial and cutting out sugary drinks will make a big impact on how quickly your weight loss will happen.
Of course we all know we have to exercise to lose weight. It’s best to combine a mixture of weight training and cardio to obtain the right overall combination of weight loss.
It also makes sense to change your routine often to keep from getting bored and to trick your body. If you do the same routine over and over without change your body becomes immune to the routine and the results begin to slow progressively.
Map out a plan before you begin, make a weekly schedule and mark off the routine when you have completed it. This is a good way to keep track of how often you are exercising. It will be a motivational tool also to look back on reminding you how consistent you have been with your efforts.
Losing weight and being successful for a long time is basically deciding ahead of time to make a life change and never returning to your old ways.
It’s also important to do this for yourself, not for someone else. If you are losing weight to impress someone else you most likely will not stay with the plan. Decide to become healthy and look your best for you and you will be happier.
Okay we have talked about eating right, and we have talked about exercising. We’ve talked about making the choice to do all of this for ourselves and not anyone else.
Well now let’s talk about something else to help with weight loss. Something besides the obvious….
We all know over time our system gets clogged up and sluggish. For a very long time we tend to abuse our bodies putting all kinds of bad things into our system, causing the body to become toxic. Having a toxic system can be a sure fire way to not lose weight. The more toxic our system, the more resistant our system will be to lose those extra pounds.
Losing weight is a serious business, and it takes knowing our own bodies and knowing what our bodies need to work properly.
Do you know if your digestive system is clogged and sluggish? One way to know if you need a good cleaning is by how often your bowels move. If you have two to three movements a day, or at least one good movement a day then you might be okay.
But, if you don’t go everyday you might need a cleaning, a conceptual plan to become clean and healthy.
So if you are exercising daily, eating healthier foods and not getting results, the obvious is the toxins in your body.
There are all kinds of cleansing systems out there. You will have to do a little research to find the right one for you and your own body/system.
But I have a few suggestions some that I tried that worked for me, you choose what is right for you though.
1. Drinking warm water 17 ounces first thing in the morning mixed with lemon juice.
2. Peel an apple and eat it ten minutes after drinking the warm water. Be sure to chew it well before swallowing.
For six weeks do items one and two above.
It will help to cleanse your system.
Drinking hot or warm peppermint tea right after a meal helps with digestion also.
Something else to try if you really have a slow system is having a colonics done. What is a colonics you might ask, well it is Colon Hydrotherapy. Be sure if you decide to have one done have a trained hydro-therapist to do your session.
Colonics have been in the news off and on and the verdict is mixed.
But basically colonics have been noted as being good for cleaning your entire intestinal tract. They have been compared to enemas, but enemas only clean the lower portion of our intestines. If we want to get clean and rid our body of toxins which can build up inside the intestinal tract walls then we have to wash away those toxins with a colon cleansing.
Colonics prevents constipation, clearing away the buildup of old feces inside the colon walls. This buildup can hinder the affects of the body being able to absorb water and nutrients needed for optimal body performance. Fecal buildup can also cause bacteria and yeast to grow.
The intestinal tract facts are that the small intestine is about 20 feet long and the large intestinal tract is 5 feet long.
If you have buildup inside your colon you could possibly be holding onto an extra 10 – 25 lbs of waste.
Colonics are expensive and not so comfortable to have done. But the benefits of having them are worth it if we want to feel better and rid our body of toxic buildup hindering us from reaching our weight loss goals.
Do your research and decide what is right for you. But sometimes doing more than just the obvious suggestions on weight loss, stepping outside the box and doing things for our system we never tried before can sometimes be the answer we were looking for.
One last suggestion is body wraps. Body wraps can also assist in ridding our bodies from toxic buildup, but before doing anything, do your homework first and be safe.
Always get a professional/doctors opinion before embarking on any procedure that could cause your body harm.
